![]() NaNoWriMo is upon us once again and just at the last minute, my characters mutinied and are doing their own thing. My story went from Sci-Fi to Fantasy in a hot second. This might have taken the wind out of my sail but I assure you, this ship will not sink. November is going to be a month of victory and triumph. By the end, my goal is to have a rough draft, if not an official first draft, to work on. My plan is to write about 10k per week. Since I only have one day off--or, in a good week, 1.5 days--to do this, I am aiming for five to seven hours of solid writing time. I will update this blog, sporadically once a week, to update on my progress. As per the tentative schedule, that will put it on Fridays. The format will be something along the lines of hours spent, words written, challenges and triumphs. tipsBelow are five tips, in no particular order of importance, to help you get the best out of NaNoWriMo.
