February is gone and March is here with a promise of spring and warmer days to come. #FridayFriend is back with an update on my dreams, goals and how to get to the next level. Last time, we talked about goals, its importance and how to set it. Today is all about how you have to be willing to adjust and revise your goals to find the path that leads to your nirvana. Let's get started. Your creativity has to be nurtured to stay ignited... There are many ways to reach the promise land, as long as you recognize that your finial destination is the promised land and this land is different for everyone. It might be a balmy island, windy desert or winter wonderland. Let me break it down for you: I want to finish the first draft of my WIP by April ending (short-term goal) and have a complete manuscript by December, 2018 (long-term goal). Notice that I have revised the deadline for the draft because...life! Yes, your non-writing life can sometimes act as a hindrance which causes you to find another path or slow down your pace. Sometimes, you even have to speed things up. When such things happen, you have to buckle down and remind yourself why you started this journey in the first place. You have to reach deep inside yourself to find that creative spark and ensure it does not go out. Your creativity has to be nurtured to stay ignited and fine-tuning the steps to reach the landing might do the trick. update on THE PROMISE: FEBRUARY
an achievementIt is with great joy that I am writing to tell you that I have written 10,000 brilliant words (I am viewing everything through a rose-tinted glasses at the moment) for my WIP! I am over the moon. I can't wait to share more good news as time goes by. rememberTake time to put things into perspective. Remember that while you have to stand firm, it is okay to bend so you don't break. Revise your goals with your destination in mind.
